Last September I had an epic adventure mountain biking and photographing the Heaphy Track with the entertaining company of Matt Proctor and Dave Everton. If there was ever a mountain bike (or hike for that matter) that should be on your bucket list, this is it.
Our little adventure is now available in print in the latest issue of NZBike. I was graphic designer for the magazine for the past few years and this was the last issue I worked on. It was a great experience and awesome to leave my own personal stamp on the publication.
You can pick up a copy of the magazine including the four page feature here www.endurancesport.co.nz/nzbike.cfm

The Reef Beachfront Apartments in Tauranga required a redesign of their existing logo. The client wanted to include an outline of the infamous Mount Maunganui and words ‘The Reef’.
The chosen design incorporates a hand drawn outline of ‘The Mount’ which also uses negative space to create a wave shape. The logo is finished off with a modern, clean san seriff font.
Just finished a new poster and web update for the Auckland Half Ironman in March 2015. This was a relatively free flowing brief which gave me a chance to get the creative juices flowing. The final design incorporates a stylized Auckland skyline, native bush as white space and layered images of past winners. I distressed the images using a grunge bitmap and also used this in the background. The remaining white space was used for logo placement and wording. Designed using Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign.
2014 Poster and Logo design for the Onehunga Half Marathon. The clients required a freshen up their existing branding with a modern clean look. They also wanted to incorporate the colours and fonts used on the Onhunga business website www.onehunga.net.nz. The final design was created in Adobe Illustrator CC with the background imported from Photoshop CC. If you are in Auckland at the end of September then I recommend you get give it a nudge! I was recently contracted by MJ Media to create a new poster for their Coromandel Classic Multisport race. The iconic event runs over two days and includes a mix of running, mountain biking, kayaking and road cycling. MJ Media wanted the poster to be simple yet effective. I used the bright orange on black to give a strong contrast and also to tie in with the logo. I also used icons for the different disciplines to show what is involved in the event. To finish the poster of i used a textured background behind the logo and a solid bold serif type to really stand out.
I just picked up 500 of these bad boys from the local printers today. I decided to opt for something with a bit of style and chose the UV spot coating. I think this is really effective and makes people look twice at the cards. If you know anyone in need of new cards or graphic design work contact me today! Cheers Jeremy
